This dissertation considers microbundles with no restriction on their fiber space. The first part of this dissertation extends some of the basic theorems about finite dimensional microbundles. Induced microbundles are defined and shown to behave like pull backs. Induced microbundles are then shown to have a homotopy invariance property. In the later chapters attention is restricted to microbundles with normed spaces as fibers. "Fredholm" type structures are defined and a microbundle k-theory is introduced. Inductive limits of microbundles are discussed and the k-theory of simplicial complexes is investigated.
