dc.description.abstract | The purpose of this study was to examine whether it is possible for concentration oscillations to occur in the case of the isothermal reaction A(g) + B(g)------>AB, which is taking place on a catalytic foil. By assuming a Langmuir-Hinshelwood kinetic mechanism in which the energy of activation for the final step depends linearly on the coverage by adsorbed B(g), we were able to derive the differential equations for the net rates of adsorption of A(g) and B(g).
