The focus of this presentation is to determine whether there are positive health outcomes for mothers over the age of 40 who have breastfed. Research has shown that longer durations of lactation can reduce hypertension in mothers. It is recommended to educate and encourage breastfeeding for up to 12 months to improve cardiovascular health of postpartum women.en_US
