A qualitative research design was used to explore the views of homeless, single mothers. The research was guided by a phenomenological perspective by collecting data on the lived experiences of the research participants. Eight women participated in a focus group. Analysis of the statements given by the research participants resulted in the identification of two themes: 1) connectedness; and 2) sources of strengths. This article describes each theme and discusses implications for social work practice and research.en_US
