dc.description.abstractA hardware divider for fixed-integer divisors is designed. It uses a direct table-look-up technique with read-only memory. The dividend is partitioned into several groups, each group is processed by a small ROM. The ROM is designed in a special way so that the final divider is formed by directly linking these small ROM's. Three examples of the application, including BCD-to-Binary and Binary-to-BCD converters, are given.
