Background. Investigate pressure/temperature/volume (PVT) analyses and applications in unconventional oil and gas reservoirs. The challenge with unconventional reservoirs is that the source rock has very low permeability which makes fluid extraction challenging. Optimization of unconventional reservoir fluid production - key factor in reducing foreign oil dependency. Conclusions. Standard equations of state (EOS) can be modified to model and compute fluids properties in unconventional reservoirs. Capillary pressure is very important in nano-scale pores.
