dc.description.abstractThis document is a technical report of Team 1’s (EZ MEDS) design system for a liquid medicine dispenser. This design system utilizes two main sensor systems, a cup-sensor system to detect an existing cup before dispensing medicine and a liquid-level sensor system to measure out the medicine. The machine features a LCD touch screen display to offer user friendly control panel, a shaking mechanism to properly mix the medicine, and pumps to dispense the medicine. This design will be able to dispense liquid medicine precisely at the correct dosage at the right time to decrease the possibility of underdose or overdose.
