dc.description.abstractThe purpose of this study was to identify traits which are characteristic of three different groups—over-achievers, achievers, and underachievers. These groups were defined by comparing the ranks of students on standard achievement tests with their ranks on intelligence tests. The population from which the three grotips was drawn consisted of 151 students of grades nine, ten, and eleven in a private preparatory school in Houston, Texas. [...]
