In this study, a critical and comparative analysis of selected compositions (Kreisleriana, Opus 16; Phantasie, Opus 17; Piano Concerto, Opus 54; and Symphony No. 3 in E-flat Major, Opus 97) by Robert Alexander Schumann was made, with special concentration given to formal deviations from the Classic.
