dc.description.abstractGlobally fluent cities are "metropolitan areas that are appealing, open and opportunity-rich which serve as magnets for attracting people and firms from around the world," according to The Brookings Institution. Edinburgh, Scotland is presented in: livable neighborhoods, quality of life and business climate in three neighborhoods at various distances from the city center. The learning objectives include: Understand downtown's place in the city. Understand how livable neighborhoods and open space make cities appealing. Discover the fine grained nature( Lot, Block and District) of the city. Practice visual, verbal and written presentation of research and analysis.
