dc.description.abstractTwo nutrition education stories are written and illustrated. They are geared toward the preadolescent (ages seven through ten). The first story focuses on the nutrient iron. Vitamin A is the nutrient highlighted in the second story. The stories are acconpanied by twenty-three teaching activities which are designed to build a working vocabulary of the foods that supply iron and vitamin A.
