Abstract
Purpose of this study. The purpose of this study is the comparison of responses to frustration and stress-producing situations of "prompt" patients who seek immediate medical care upon the onset of cancer symptoms and "delay" patients, those who do not seek medical attention for three months or longer. Previous studes have shown that although socio-economic, environmental and educational factors have some bearing on this problem, psychological factors are important in understanding the delay among cancer patients.
