dc.description.abstractSyntax-directed translation and attributed grammars are discussed in this thesis. A compiler writing system is proposed. Basic modules of the system: lexical analyzer, LR parser and attribute grammar evaluator are analyzed. Applications of the system are demonstrated on the examples. The system is written in PASCAL and implemented on the DEC VAX 11/780.
