dc.description.abstractIt was the purpose of this study to re-examine the effects of fasting and feeding treataents upon the phosphate distribution in the terminal ileum of the rat in order to determine whether the muscular or mucosa structure is most effected by such treatments. In addition, it seemed advisable to re-examine the dependability of this technique for possible use as an end point in further studies to elucidate the nature of the intestinal controls, nervous and/or hormonal.
