Abstract

This study was designed to investigate the parameters involved in a declined runway situation. The subjects were eighteen female and twelve male Holtzman rats. The procedure involved varying factorially the decline of a runway during extinction as a function of the acquisition training. The declines used were 45°, 15°, and 0°. The results of the acquisition process show that there is a significant difference between the various decline levels. The results of the extinction phase show that there is no significant difference among the factorially varied decline conditions as a function of acquisition training.
