This is an oral history interview with Willy Joel about his experiences during and after Hurricane Harvey. Mr. Joel was interviewed on March 25, 2018, at my home. My interviewee retells his story of how he found out about the storm and how he has dealt with the recovery process during the aftermath. Mr. Joel's residence received a large amount of flooding and the water caused damages to the lower level of his two-story home. Additionally, Mr. Joel was provided with assistance and rescue by fellow neighbors and volunteers. This interview communicates the effects of rescue teams on older adults and the importance of proper aid.en_US
