Culture is the beliefs, values, customs, ideas, and goals of a particular group. This study looked at the impact of culture on the practice of Attachment Parenting among women that meet in online communities. A cross-cultural qualitative analysis was used to compare how African-American, European-American, and Mexican-American women define Attachment Parenting in the United States. Six women from each group for a total of eighteen were interviewed. Thematic analysis, key-words-in-context, and pile-sorting method were used to analyze semi-structured interviews. Demographic questionnaires were also used to look at: marital status; age; employment; and education level. The data showed cultural consensus in the definition and practices of Attachment Parenting.
