dc.description.abstract | The purpose of the study is to examine how CRI was able to make a difference in the communities that they service. This research study will focus on how the community has changed post CRI ARA intervention. It will also study adults in the CRI intervention areas in order to understand how individuals have become agents of change to improve community conditions in learning environments. Key elements provided by the CRI model will be studied to measure if changes have occurred (how, what, why). Key concepts include social capital, learner persistence, self-efficacy, collective efficacy, and learner identification. The study will involve the five neighborhoods where CRI has a presence. The data to be collected will include quantitative and qualitative methods of collection. | |
