Generalized CFD Study of Paravalvular Leak Associated with Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement

Aortic stenosis is a growing health issue that is commonly treated by valve replacement. Transcatheter aortic valve replacement is a newer medical device being used to treat patients with aortic stenosis but poses a different set of problems than its predecessors. This study is an investigation into use of a generalized TAVR geometry in patient specific models for computational fluid dynamics simulations.
