Onofrei, Daniel2018-03-122018-03-12December 22017-12December 2http://hdl.handle.net/10657/2911In this thesis we present the research performed in the last three and a half years concerning frequency domain control of acoustic and electromagnetic fields through secondary exterior sources or arrays. We will discuss mathematical strategies and highlight several important applications such as acoustic shielding/cloaking and acousticfield synthesis, personal audio spot strategies or null placement techniques. We show how past theoretical existence results support the iterative procedures described in this document which focus on minimal energy solutions for the control problems considered. We also present numerical simulations in the context of the above enumerated applications.application/pdfengThe author of this work is the copyright owner.
