A theory based on the film factor concept was developed using steady state assumptions. The theory was transformed into a computer program which simulates the start-up procedure of the column dynamically and shows good convergence behavior. The computer program was tested with a pseudo-first order case, NaOH-CO2-Air, and good agreement with experimental data [21] was obtained.application/pdfenThis item is protected by copyright but is made available here under a claim of fair use (17 U.S.C.
