Abstract
Operation Iraqi Freedom: The Unjust War of Generation Y is an in depth look at three different Just War Theories. First, the Christian Just War Theory, the Classical Greek idea of Just War, and the Just War ideas of the Yoruba Tribe of West Africa are examined. In the second chapter the Christian model of Just War Theory is then applied to Operation Iraqi Freedom as a while in an effort to determine the "justness" of said operation. Finally, the author uses letters written home from his time spent fighting in Operation Iraqi Freedom to illuminate what combat is actually like and how that looks in juxtaposition with the idea of any war being "just".
