Abstract
Relative attenuation and rotation of the plane of polarization of a shear acoustic wave propagating parallel to a magnetic field along the (100) axis of a single crystal of copper at 4.2 degrees Kelvin are Investigated experimentally. Frequencies of 70-110 Kc were used. The Kjeldaas edge is observed experimentally and compared to a theoretical calculation, as is the rotation of the plane of polarization.
