Abstract

This study was based on the premises that (1) the future success and effectiveness of our secondary schools depend largely upon the nature and quality of the preparation of the teachers; (2) student teaching is of major importance in the education of secondary teachers; (3) the degree of value to be derived from student teaching is in direct ratio to the quantity and quality of its content; and (4) the administrators and the teachers of the public schools are primarily responsible for the success or failure of student-teaching courses.
