Abstract

The purpose of this study was to create a factual sex information test based upon reliability and validity data. Two forms. Forms C and D, of a factual sex information test were constructed and the following hypotheses were tested: 1. University students will make the same score on either of two forms of the sex information test. 2. University students who take a sex education course will score higher on the posttest than on the pretest. 3. University students who make high grades in a sex education course will make high scores on the sex information test; university students who make low grades in a sex education course will make low scores on the sex information test. The results of this study indicated that all three of these hypotheses were confirmed. A reasonably reliable and valid factual sex information test was created that could appropriately be used in a university setting.
