Hugo Herrmann : An assessment of the man and his music

This study, a critical and comparative analysis of selected compositions by Hugo Herrmann (Liturgische Fantasien, Marienminne, Konzert Etueden, Sonata fuer Violine und Klavler, and Drittes Streichquartett), was made in the hope that it might bring some added recognition to the composer, and that the present author's intense, personal interest in him will inspire others to investigate more works by Professor Herrmann.
