Translation of and critical introduction to uber emotionale Prasentation by Alexius Meinong

The following is a translation of a monograph by Alexiua Meinong entitled Uber emotionale Praaentation (About Emotional Presentation), which lays the foundation for a metaethical and metaesthetic theory. This theory is developed in analogy to Meinong's general theory of knowledge and ontology. Preceding the translation is a critical introduction to the monograph which gives an outline and a clarification of Meinong's most important thoughts as they are expressed in his book. These thoughts concern the ontological status of values and investigate the capability of the human mind to apprehend them.
