Abstract

In 1978, Hiremath defined an R-module M to be finitely projective if it is projective with respect to all exact sequences of R-modules Aâˆ---------»B--------->0 such that B is finitely generated. In 1981, Hausen extended this notion of finite projectivity to that of K-projectivity by defining an R-module M to be K-projective for an infinite cardinal k if it is projective with respect to all exact sequences of R-modules Aâˆ----------->B--------->0 such that B has a generating set of cardinality less than k. In this paper we further extend this notion of K-projectivity to include finite cardinals and nonabelian groups as well. [...]
