Abstract
This study is a research collaboration project between the Building Reliable Advances and Innovations in Neurotechnology (BRAIN) Center and the Public Art UHS that measures the influence of visual art on the human mind on an individual and group scale. While participants took a guided art tour on campus, their brain signals were observed and collected with electroencephalography (EEG) technology. In between works of art, participants were asked to answer written questions about their feelings towards the art, while others discussed each piece with other tour-seekers. EEG data collected during these reflection portions were then analyzed and compared to better understand the influence of art as an individual and collective experience.
