dc.description.abstractModem computer systems are highly complex and are difficult to evaluate. This paper presents a monte carlo simulation model which would be helpful in evaluating computer systems capable of having one job under execution and several jobs in the input/output stage. The simulation model presented is of a stochastic nature and is at a macroscopic level. The simulation model has been coded in FORTRAN IV and a complete listing of the program is to be found in the Appendix.
