Abstract
It was the primary objective of this study to identify the current administrative and supervisory practices now functioning in selected secondary student teaching programs in Texas and to evaluate these practices. The secondary objective was to provide data that would contribute to the continued study, evaluation, and improvement of the secondary student teaching program at the University of Houston. It was assumed that the realization of these objectives would add to the general effectiveness of the total teacher education program of Texas through cooperation with the Texas Education Agency in its present study in teacher certification.
