Abstract
Purpose. The purpose of this study was threefold. First, the study was designed to ascertain whether there was a significant relationship between classifying and inferring skills and achievement in reading vocabulary and reading comprehension. Second, the investigator has determined if students from science magnet schools were significantly different from students in nonscience magnet schools on the reading vocabulary and comprehension variables.
