Abstract
The purpose of this study was to assess the influence of parents, peers, teachers, principals, and counselors on high school students' post-secondary educational plans and choice of academic majors. Saudi Arabian high school seniors, teachers, and principals from three cities located in the Western Province of Saudi Arabia (Makkah, Jeddah, and Taif) were included in the study. Questionnaires were constructed and administered to 450 students, 108 teachers, and 9 principals in the nine high schools.
