This study has been conducted and reported as survey research to develop a position description of the Dean of Women in Texas state-supported senior colleges and universities. Data were collected in seven areas: (1) professional background, (2) community involvement, (3) duties and responsibilities, (4) human relations abilities, (5) contributing activities, (6) recommended educational preparation, and (7) recommended experience preparation.
