Abstract

This paper seeks to discover the extent to which the computer will assume the functions of the attorney in the near future. There the innate characteristics of a machine and computer simulation of human intellectual abilities are described. Part Two distills from Part One the characteristics of a computerizable human activity. And in Part Three, the attorney's functions are analyzed in terms of these characteristics and a decision is reached as to their computerizability.
