Abstract

This investigation was undertaken to study the behavior of the directors of occupational education and technology programs in public community junior colleges in Texas. The purpose of the study was three-fold: first, to select the members of two groups, successful and less successful, from among the Texas public community junior college occupational education and technology programs; second, to classify the current management system utilized within the two groups as perceived by the occupational education and technology directors and full-time occupational education and technology faculty members within each group; and third, to determine whether statistically significant differences existed between the perceptions of directors and faculties within each group, directors between groups, and faculties between groups.
