Abstract
In the work of this thesis, a literature survey was per formed to summarize the present state of knowledge concerning the properties of reinforced concrete and its constituents at elevated temperatures. Using test data available from previous investigations, four equations were developed to predict the modulus of elasticity and compressive strength of concrete; and the modulus of elasticity and yield tensile strength of reinforcing steel at elevated temperatures. These four properties are the most significant values needed in all reinforced concrete structural design.
