In 1972 W.T. Ingram (W.T, Ingram, An atriodic tree-like continuum with positive span. Fund. math. 77(1972), pp. 99-107.) constructed an example of an atriodic tree-like continuum with positive span. In this paper, it is shown that this example is not a continous image of a chainable continuum.
