dc.description.abstractMacroradicals of various vinyl monomers were formed by heterogeneous solution copolymerization of maleic anhydride and homopolymerizations of the following monomers: acrylonitrile, styrene, methyl methacrylate and vinyl acetate. Block copolymers obtained from the macroradicals were characterized using solubility, yield, and pyrolytic gas chromatograph data. Synthetically useful relationships between the solubility parameters of the solvent, macroradical and added monomer were developed.
