Abstract
This study has been presented in two parts: protein- nases; ii) amino acid decarboxylases, glutamate dehydrogenase, transaminases, and amino acid oxidases. The functions of intracellular proteinases in: i) degradation of proteins in general protein turnover; ii) degradation of nonsense protein; and iii) limited proteolysis, which could not only be applied to activation of enzymes or specific inactivation of enzymes, but also to the modification of enzymes and other proteins as well as the maturation of proteins are discussed. A detail discussion of the regulatory mechanisms of proteolytic activities by: i) the synthesis and degradation of proteinase; ii) their specific macromolecular inhibitors; iii) substrate modifying factors; and iv) RNA is presented. The possible involvement of proteinases in various microbial differentiation processes are studied. The possible role of amino acid decarboxylases, glutamate dehydrogenase, transaminases, and amino acid oxidases in metabolism and differentiation are studied in detail.
