Abstract

Purpose. The purpose of this investigation was to examine the effects of using manipulative materials on the mathematics achievement of first grade students in Thailand. Procedure. The subjects consisted of 35° first grade students in Bangkok, Thailand. The experimental group and comparison group were given a Pretest before the study began. Each group received instruction for six weeks. The study utilized an experimental group-comparison group design.
