Abstract
The purpose of the study was to determine what differences and interactions existed in role perception between student teachers and principals in student teaching- settings. Three general questions related to role relationships between student teachers and principals in student teaching settings were investigated. The questions were as follows: (1) What changes occurred in student teachers’ expectations and perceptions for the role of the elementary classroom teacher during student teaching? (2) What was the influence of principals in change of student teachers' expectations and perceptions? and (3) What agreement or disagreement occurred between student teachers’ expectations and perceptions for the role of the classroom teacher and principals' expectations?
