Abstract

The purpose of this study was to provide information concerning the extent to which the opportunity to make realistic career choices could be a part of the educational process offered to ethnic minority high school youth and whether a focus on academic achievement was relevant to realistic career decision making. Also, it was hoped that this study would provide the necessary basis for further research in this area and suggest changes in the school curricula and career development programs to meet the needs of ethnic minority students.
