dc.description.abstract | t-ButylpentafluorophenyImethylchlorosilane--a new derivatizing reagent of polar compounds for gas chromatography has been synthesized. Its derivatives of alcohols, carboxylic acids, amines and thiols have been prepared and their suitability for determining trace amounts of these compounds by gas chromatography with electron-capture detection assessed. They are very sensitive to electron-capture detection down to the picogram to femtogram range and have advantages over presently used electron-capturing derivatives. | |
