Abstract

The potential of interactive videodisc design and technology has just begun to be explored. The interactive videodisc combines the communication abilities of audio-visual materials with the instructional capabilities of the computer. Because interactive video combines videodisc and computer technologies, producers need to learn how to design quality programs that correctly utilize the potential of this information delivery system. The purpose of this study is to design and develop a project phase model to serve as a production aid to interactive videodisc project teams. This team requires representation of experts in project management, marketing, content, instructional design, writing, video production and computer programming.
