Abstract

I. Introduction. Today, care of the hospital sick is one of the major considerations of the minister. It is his duty, by reason of his calling, to maintain an active hospital visitation program. The object of this program is to relieve his members of the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual anxieties and sufferings associated with the illness experience during hospital confinement. This study has been made in order to determine what factors constitute a successful hospital ministry. Emphasis has been placed particularly upon the patient's reaction to the pastor's hospital visit, which actually forms the basis for the whole hospital ministry. [...]
