Abstract
The subject of this thesis was the planning and organizing of playgrounds for schools for the blind. The study surveys current literature on playground planning in general, play needs of children, special play needs of the blind, and how the blind feel about play. Letters of inquiry were sent to various schools for the blind. The information sent in response to these letters and gathered from the survey of literature is organized into ten fundamentals to serve in planning playgrounds for schools for the blind. [...]
