Abstract
In the eyes of the world, Africa has been long misunderstood. The prevailing opinion has been that Africa is a land of uneducated tribesmen or to use the cliche, "the dark continent." Even today, travel posters advertising African countries use the images of the lion or perhaps Victoria Falls as the two African motifs, completely ignoring the long history of art and culture that Africa has.
