Abstract

A method is presented for the computation of the member forces and joint displacements of a group of structural plane frames with an arbitrary arrangement of members, connection types, and loading patterns,utilizing a computer with only 16K to 32K central memory and disk storage. The range of applicable frames is selected in a manner to encompass optional operation speed and data storage efficiency for structures normally encountered. Input forms with default parameters, theoretical proofs of the methods used, drawings of computer storage structures and an example problem are described in detail.
