Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the state of teacher-school board consultation in Texas and predictions of trends. Problem. The problem was to determine: 1. What are currently perceived to be important issues in consultation in Texas? 2. What will be important issues in 1985? 3. How did district size, taxable wealth, teachers' salaries, and existence of a consultation agreement affect perceptions? 4. How did perceptions compare with those found nationally? Population. The population included a teacher organization leader, a school board member, and a school personnel administrator from each of 54 districts with an ADA of 10,000 or more. [...]
